Wow, this was quite relatable since I had worked at a call center job before. This is psychologically sinister, I love it. Your writing is always good.
Damn...what an ending. This certainly reminds me of my job but, I do get to work from home. I'm not sure if that is better as the suffering wafts through my apartment during and after work--blurs the line between whose suffering is whose. On the bright side, to the best of my recollection, there is no donor class yoga listening orgy....although I wouldn't rule it out.
Incredibly vivid, diabolical story, EJ. Just thankful David figured it out on day 1. Well done!
I was really not expecting the end. Genius, EJ!
Serenity in the face of suffering is always so unnerving and your ending sent chills down my spine. 👏🏻👏🏻
An eerie twist at the end. I enjoyed it!
Sometimes I have to read it, walk away and think about it. This was one of those stories. The relaxation room really stuck with me. Great work.
Excellent writing! You captured the dreadful of working an office job perfectly.

Well, that was extremely disturbing, but brilliant

Oh, that’s wrenching! Great story that will stay with me…
Gripping as always! Great piece
Oof. This is so, so sad. It definitely took a direction I wasn’t expecting.
