Oh. My. God. This was creeptastic! Terrifying! I need to know more about the pits. All I could imagine was some horrible giant ant-lion grabbing Earl or catching him when he slid down its trap (ant-lions have always sort of terrified me; thank god they’re small). Such a great story and a real, visceral scare!
